External reporting offices

The Whistleblower Protection Act gives persons who intend to make a report the right to choose whether to contact a company's internal reporting office or an external reporting office of the federal or state governments.

However, the Whistleblower Protection Act also stipulates that reports to an internal office should be given preference if effective action can be taken against the violation via this office and whistleblowers do not have to fear reprisals (§ 7 Sec. 1 HinSchG).

We follow up on all relevant tips received via our internal reporting office and are expressly committed to protecting all whistleblowers from reprisals.

External reporting offices of the federal government (Germany) have currently been set up
  • at the Federal Office of Justice
  • the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, and
  • the Federal Cartel Office.

All information on the responsibilities of the external reporting offices and how to reach them can be found on the website of the Federal Office of Justice:
